A Tribute to Jim and his Legacy,

A Hero not only in life but also in death.

Jim was the kind of man you noticed the moment he walked into a room — a big guy with a booming voice and an even bigger heart and a huge unforgettable hug.

Beneath that strong exterior was someone who never stopped moving, never stopped helping, and never stopped trying to make life easier and better for the people around him.

He had a constant need to stay busy, always fixing something, building something — not for recognition, but simply because that’s who he was.
Hardworking, Generous. Giving. Steady. If someone needed help, Jim was always willing to help and would be right there.

Knowing that he saved a woman’s life through organ donation does not surprise any of us. Jim would always do whatever he could for others. When he made the decision to become a donor while discussing it with his fiancee – he likely never imagined the profound impact that choice would one day have. Because of him, a woman has been given a second chance, more time — more laughter, more memories, more precious moments with her family. That is a legacy few people ever achieve.

And saving a life wasn’t new to Jim. Alongside another brave gentleman, he once pulled a young man from a vehicle during a terrible accident, stepping in without hesitation when it mattered most. That was Jim — courage in action, compassion without pause.

To us, he is and always will be a hero. Not just for the lives he saved, but for the countless lives he touched in quiet, everyday ways.

We are honored beyond words to call him our brother, our family and loved one, our friend.

Forever loved.
Remembered always.
A true hero in our hearts.
