Diane was born in 1958, the third in a family of six children. She suffered from a lack of oxygen at birth, and was severely brain damaged as a result. For most of her life, Diane lived in a group home, but she remained an important part of our family. Even though she was nonverbal and had many health issues, Diane had a sweet personality and laughed easily. She left this world quietly, with no pain and no fear as her organs quietly shut down. She died with a smile on her face. What did she see? Angels? Heaven? Her corneas were donated to give two people the gift of sight. May their eyesight be as beautiful as Diane’s final vision.
She was always our baby sister. We love you,Diane!
