In Memory of
Dan was a one of a kind man. He was kind, compassionate, empathetic, loved to talk to anyone and everyone, and hard working. He was self-taught in so many ways especially since he grew up on a farm living the farm life. Dan learned at an early age that electricity was pretty cool and became an electrician and owned/operated his own business. In the course of owning his business, he not only worked in the areas of commercial, industrial and residential electric needs but he also worked on scoreboards and message center signs. He definitely found his passion and was very good at it.
Dan was a man who believed in giving back to others, helping others in need, and being present.
Dan was also very passionate about his family. He had 2 daughters, Crystal and Meghan, whom he was very close to, and a wife and best friend, Cheryl, of almost 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with them as well as his son in law, Jerry, and 2 grandchildren, Bobby and Jessica. Dan did whatever it took to be with them and involved in their lives and had a special relationship with each person.
In life, Dan was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He loved to help others and it was important to him to do whatever he could to help someone in need without a second thought, even if he didn’t know them. That is why being an organ donor meant so much to him. He lived to help others and would have been honored that in his last moments here on earth he was able to give the gift of life to someone else as an organ donor. This was definitely a lasting legacy to leave behind and something his family will always cherishes.
