In Memory of
My name is Michaela, my sweet son passed away 6 days away before he was supposed to turn 3 months old which would have been Christmas Day. Unfortunately on December 19th 2024 I had found he had passed away in his crib. With a hardest decision I’ve ever had to make CORE reached out and explained what they do and how they offer the gift of life to another person in need from our loved one’s passing. As a mother and still in shock I at first was hesitant, I had so many mixed emotions. I then started thinking about my girls and the what if’s; what if they needed an organ blessing, what if I am one of those patients on a list, waiting and waiting. So I made the decision that my son would be a hero and save a wonderful person and keep a family member’s loved one going. I have no idea who my son Coves recipient is and I hope more than ever to meet them and have a relationship with that person. If I could speak to them face to face I would want them to know I am honored Cove helped them. I am so blessed my son is still going through someone else. My heart is filled with love and I know we will forever have a special bond. I want them to know how much he meant to me and I hope they know my tiny man is the biggest hero.
Cove and I’s journey was strong. From my pregnancy, to birth, to his last breath, we fought hard and I never gave up on him.
