In Memory of
Bill was born in West Virginia but was a Texan at heart. He married a San Antonio gal, Julie, and they shared 29 incredible years. Bill was creative, inventive, imaginative and skilled at so many things. His mind was a wonder as he was incessantly curious about seemingly anything and everything, and his giant intellect was evident to all who met him. On top of all this, as Bill’s brother-in-law said, Bill was the kindest person he’d ever known. Bill served two years in the army; he had three college degrees; he’d owned three small businesses; he was a lifelong runner; he loved hiking, especially in Big Bend National Park; he was good at all things mechanical; he was very artistic and created beautiful landscapes and gardens; he loved reading, researching and writing. Bill was never bored, he loved life and lived it to the fullest. Most of all, he was an incredible husband. He was easy-going, fun, thoughtful, generous and full of sweet surprises. He and Julie shared a great love and lots of laughter every day of their lives together. Bill will be loved and deeply missed by his wife, his family and his many lifelong friends. He touched so many people in so many good ways, and in the end, Bill gave even more of himself through the donation of his body. The world of Bill…it lives on.
Bill was a kind, gentle and loving man, who also happened to be incredibly intelligent and creative; his mind was a wonder!
