Eli was such a gift to all of those who were lucky to know him. He was a son, a brother, a fierce friend. His love for life and the world around him, his gentle hijinks, and his attentiveness to others are some of the things that we miss so deeply in his absence. From an early age, Eli knew how to make deep connections with people and as he grew older, he became a bridge for others to connect. We were so proud watching him develop into a compassionate, hardworking, and thoughtful young man. He has often been referred to as the brightest light in the room, providing warmth and comfort to those around him. In his short time with us, we have learned so many invaluable lessons from him: how to live life to the fullest, how to never loose touch with our inner child, how to love without limits, and how to let go of what no longer serves you. Following a tragic accident, Eli was able to provide eight gifts through organ donation, enhancing the lives of six people. His tissue donations span across the US and into Canada. Eli is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given, and I wake each day with gratitude for the life I have had with him. His choice to continue to share his love through organ donation–I could not be more proud of him.
Our most magnificent teacher of the power of love.
